Houston Rapper and Activist

Bernard James Freeman, known professionally as Bun B, is a Grammy-nominated American rapper and actor based in Houston. He is best known for being part of the southern rap duo UGK (UnderGround Kingz), a group he formed in 1987 alongside Pimp C. Bun B has been a guest lecturer at Rice University since 2011 and has been a prominent speaker about the death of Houston native George Floyd.

Lee is a Pulitzer Prize and Emmy Award-winning correspondent for MSNBC. He hosts the “Into America” podcast, where he covers social justice issues and the role of race, violence, politics and law enforcement in America. Lee launched The Race Report, a special MSNBC series that explores the intersection of race and politics this election season, in 2020. Previously, he served as a reporter at The Huffington Post and The New York Times.
