Kay Bailey Hutchison

U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO

Hutchison was sworn in as the U.S. permanent representative to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in 2017. Previously, she served as a U.S. senator for Texas from 1993 to 2013. Hutchison gained extensive international experience as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. She also served in the Texas House, as Texas state treasurer and as vice chair of the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board.

Columnist for The Washington Post

Tumulty has been a columnist covering national politics at The Washington Post since 2010. Previously, she worked as a national political correspondent for The Post and spent 15 years at TIME magazine, where she served as national political correspondent, congressional correspondent and White House correspondent. Tumulty also spent 14 years as a reporter at the Los Angeles Times.
