Webber serves as the chief science and technology officer at ENGIE, an organization that manages energy businesses, professor at the University of Texas at Austin and deputy director of the university’s Energy Institute. He was selected as a member of the fourth class of the Presidential Leadership Scholars. Most recently, Webber is the author of “Power Trip: The Story of Energy.”
Staples has led the Texas Oil & Gas Association, the state’s oldest and largest oil and gas trade association, since 2014. Previously, he served two terms as Texas agriculture commissioner. Staples was also a member of the Texas House and Senate and a member of the Palestine City Council.
Jaffe has expertise on energy and the environment and currently serves as a research professor and managing Director of the Climate Policy Lab at Tufts University Fletcher School for Law and Diplomacy. Previously, she served as executive director for energy and sustainability at the University of California, Davis. Jaffe is also a founding director of the Energy Forum at Rice University's James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy.
