Rubio, R-Florida, was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010. He serves as chair of the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee and is a member of the powerful Appropriations Committee. Rubio also serves as the acting chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. Previously, he served as a city commissioner for West Miami and in the Florida House.

Costa is a national political reporter for The Washington Post, the moderator and managing editor of PBS’ “Washington Week,” a weekly news analysis series, and a political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC.
