Darren Walker

President of the Ford Foundation

Walker is president of the Ford Foundation, a private foundation with the mission of advancing human welfare. He is a member of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Reimagining New York Commission and co-chair of NYC Census 2020. Previously, Walker served as vice president of the Rockefeller Foundation and worked on the UN International Labour Organization Global Commission on the Future of Work.

Stacy-Marie Ishmael

Editorial Director for The Texas Tribune

Ishmael joined the Tribune as editorial director in March 2020. Previously, she was a senior editor at Apple, the managing editor for mobile at BuzzFeed News and vice president of communities at the Financial Times. Ishmael was also a John S. Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford and is on the board of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
