McCaul, R-Austin, has represented Texas' 10th Congressional District since 2005. He is a member of the Foreign Affairs and National Security committees and previously served as chair of the Homeland Security committee. Previously, McCaul was chief of Counter Terrorism and National Security to the U.S. attorney's office in Texas and served as deputy attorney general from 1998 to 2002.
Taylor, R-Plano, has represented Texas' 3rd Congressional District since 2019. He is a member of the House Committee on Financial Services. Previously, Taylor represented District 8 in the Texas Senate from 2015 to 2019 and served in the United States Marine Corps.
