Karen Brooks Harper

Karen reports on health and human services for The Texas Tribune. She arrived in Texas in 1995 to join the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, where she covered immigration and the drug war in Mexico for the Knight-Ridder newspapers. Harper has covered Texas politics for more than two decades for news organizations such as the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, The Dallas Morning News and Reuters.
