Keri Blakinger

Blakinger is a Houston-based staff writer for The Marshall Project, a nonprofit newsroom focused on criminal justice. She previously covered prisons, prosecutions and death row for the Houston Chronicle, and her work has appeared in The Washington Post Magazine, VICE, The New York Times and NBC News. Blakinger has also written a memoir, published with St. Martin’s Press in 2022.
