Leana Wen

Wen is an emergency physician and a professor of health policy and management at George Washington University. Previously, she served as health commissioner of Baltimore, where she led the nation’s health department to fight the opioid epidemic. She is also a contributing columnist for The Washington Post and a medical analyst for CNN. Wen is the author of “Lifelines: A Doctor’s Journey in the Fight for Public Health,” published in 2021.
