Miguel Cardona

Cardona joined the Biden administration this year as secretary of education. Previously, he served as commissioner of the Connecticut State Department of Education from 2019-21. Cardona began his career as a fourth-grade teacher in Meriden, Connecticut. At the age of 27, he was named principal of Hanover School in Meriden, making him the state’s youngest principal.
