Hannah-Jones is a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and staff writer at The New York Times Magazine focusing on racial inequality. She was the author behind the Times’ “The 1619 Project”, and is the Knight Chair Appointment at Howard University, where she will lead the Center for Journalism and Democracy. In 2016, Hannah-Jones co-founded the Ida B. Wells Society for Investigative Reporting, a training and mentorship organization dedicated to increasing the ranks of investigative reporters of color.
