Richard Tofel

Tofel is the president of ProPublica, a nonprofit investigative journalism organization based in New York City. Previously, Tofel was assistant publisher of The Wall Street Journal, vice president of the Rockefeller Foundation and vice president of Dow Jones & Co. Tofel is the author of “Not Shutting Up: A Year of Reflections on Journalism,” published in 2020.
