Bullard is a distinguished professor of urban planning and environmental policy at Texas Southern University. Previously, he served as dean of the Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School Of Public Affairs and as founding director of the Environmental Justice Resource Center at Clark Atlanta University. Bullard is an award-winning author and co-founder of the HBCU Climate Change Consortium. In 2019, Apolitical named him one of the world’s 100 Most Influential People in Climate Policy and was awarded the Champions of the Earth Lifetime Achievement Award by the United Nations Environment Program in 2020.
