Zahira Torres

Torres serves as senior editor for the ProPublica-Texas Tribune Investigative Initiative, a first-of-its-kind collaboration to publish investigative reporting for and about Texas. Previously, Torres was a senior editor with ProPublica’s Local Reporting Network. Torres also served as enterprise editor for the USA Today Network’s Texas/New Mexico newspapers. She was part of a team that developed and edited “The Wall: Untold Stories, Unintended Consequences,” which won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting.
