Klobuchar, D-Minnesota, was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2006 and ran as a Democratic candidate for president in 2020. She serves on the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition & Forestry, Commerce, Science & Transportation, Rules & Administration, and Judiciary committees as well as the Joint Printing, Library, and Economic committees. Previously, Klobuchar spent eight years as head of the largest prosecutor’s office in Minnesota.
Elias is a partner at Perkins Coie, where he is also chair of the political law practice. Previously, he acted as general counsel to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2016 and to John Kerry’s presidential campaign in 2004.
Porter, D-Calif., has represented California's 45th Congressional District since 2019. She is a member of the House Financial Services committee and the Oversight and Reform committee. Previously, Porter served as a law professor at the University of California, Irvine and served as a consumer and bankruptcy attorney for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the World Bank, the Federal Judicial Center and the Uniform Law Commission.
