Four members of the Texas Senate on what will surely be the most challenging session in years.

Alvarado, D-Houston, has represented Senate District 6 since a 2018 special election. She sits on the Senate Intergovernmental Relations, Nominations, Transportation, and Water and Rural Affairs committees. Previously, Alvarado served more than 10 years representing House District 145. She also served on the Houston City Council from 2002 to 2008.
Campbell, R-New Braunfels, has represented Senate District 25 since 2013. She serves as chair of the Senate Veteran Affairs and Border Security committees and sits on the Business and Commerce, Education, Finance, Health and Human Services, and Intergovernmental Relations committees. Campbell also works as a board-certified emergency room physician.
Seliger, R-Amarillo, has represented Senate District 31 since 2005. He sits on the Senate Health and Human Services, Nominations, and Veteran Affairs and Border Security committees. Previously, Seliger served four terms as mayor of Amarillo and was a member of the Amarillo City Commission and the Amarillo Civil Service Commission. He also spent 35 years in the steel industry.
Eckhardt, D-Austin, began representing Senate District 14 in August 2020 following a special election to replace retiring Sen. Kirk Watson. Previously, Eckhardt served as Travis County’s first female county judge and presided over the county’s commissioners court. Eckhardt also spent eight years as an assistant Travis County attorney and was elected to represent Precinct 2 on the county commissioners court in 2006.
