Sarah Eckhardt

Eckhardt, D-Austin, began representing Senate District 14 in August 2020 following a special election to replace retiring Sen. Kirk Watson. Previously, Eckhardt served as Travis County’s first female county judge and presided over the county’s commissioners court. Eckhardt also spent eight years as an assistant Travis County attorney and was elected to represent Precinct 2 on the county commissioners court in 2006.
