Escobar, D-El Paso, is serving her first term representing Texas’ 16th Congressional District. She is the first Latina to represent the district. Escobar sits on the House Armed Services and Judiciary committees and is vice chair of the Democratic Women’s Caucus. She is also co-chair of the Women’s Working Group on Immigration. Previously, Escobar served as El Paso County judge and as county commissioner.
Coaston is a senior politics reporter for Vox, specializing in conservatism and the American Right. Previously, she worked for MTV News, where she covered the 2016 election and Republican party politics. Coaston has written for The New York Times, The Washington Post and ESPN and worked as a reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. She also co-hosts Vox’s “The Weeds” podcast.
Lind has covered immigration policy for ProPublica since 2019. She's been recognized by John Jay College's Center for Media, Crime and Justice and by the nonprofit immigration organization Define American. Previously, Lind spent five years as Vox's immigration reporter and worked in immigration policy at America’s Voice, an advocacy organization in Washington, D.C. She also co-hosts Vox Media’s “The Weeds” podcast.
Yglesias co-founded Vox in 2014. He is currently a senior correspondent at the publication, where he focuses on politics and economic policy and hosts “The Weeds” podcast. Previously, Yglesias authored the Moneybag column for Slate and is the author of “One Billion Americans: The Case for Thinking Bigger,” published in 2020.
