Veronica Escobar

Escobar, D-El Paso, is serving her first term representing Texas’ 16th Congressional District. She is the first Latina to represent the district. Escobar sits on the House Armed Services and Judiciary committees and is vice chair of the Democratic Women’s Caucus. She is also co-chair of the Women’s Working Group on Immigration. Previously, Escobar served as El Paso County judge and as county commissioner.
