John Sharp

Sharp has led the Texas A&M University System since 2011. As chancellor, he leads one of the largest systems of higher education in Texas, with a statewide network of 11 universities, seven state agencies, two service units and a comprehensive health science center. Sharp served in the Texas House, Senate and Railroad Commission and worked as state comptroller. He also served as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve
