Rice heads The Appeal, a news organization covering criminal justice in America. She also co-hosts the podcast “Justice in America” and is a senior strategist at The Justice Collaborative. Previously, she covered criminal justice issues at the Daily Kos, and she is a co-founder and former editor-in-chief of Seven Scribes. Her work has been featured in publications including The New York Times, The New Yorker, Slate and The Atlantic.
