Julián Aguilar

Aguilar reports on politics, immigration and border security issues for the Tribune from the Texas-Mexico border. His political coverage includes immigration reform and enforcement, international trade, border security and the drug trade. In 2019, Aguilar’s reporting on “Families Divided” won four national Edward R. Murrow Awards. Prior to joining the Tribune, he was a staff writer for the Laredo Morning Times and the Rio Grande Guardian.
