Steve Schmidt

Schmidt is a veteran political strategist and the co-founder of The Lincoln Project, a political action committee formed in late 2019 to campaign against the reelection of President Donald Trump. Schmidt served as a top strategist for former President George W. Bush’s 2004 re-election campaign and served in his administration as his deputy assistant. He also worked on John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign.
