Students who attend the Texas Tribune Festival are the future leaders of Texas. We’ve created an enhanced experience to help you get the most out of the Festival.

Students (and educators) are eligible for a special registration rate of $50. Don't have $50? Volunteer to work a shift and attend for free! Email registration@texastribune.org from your school-affiliated email address to get started.

Enjoy a kickoff session with your fellow classmates, meet Tribune staff and find out how to get the most out of your Festival experience.

Live TribCast Recording
Friday, Sept. 23 | 5-6:15 PM
Texas Union Theater

After the Summit, students are invited to attend a special live recording of the Texas Tribune TribCast at the Texas Union Theater.

Lone Star Lounge — Student Headquarters
Saturday, Sept. 24 | 8 AM-4:30 PM
Texas Union, Lone Star Room

The Lone Star Lounge is your Festival headquarters. Network with other students, meet Festival speakers or sit back and enjoy refreshments before heading to the next panel. 

Other benefits for Students at the Fest:
Discounted registration of $50 - email registration@texastribune.org from your school-affiliated email address to get started. Or volunteer for a short shift and come for free, plus get a special gift and volunteer t-shirt.

Network with fellow students, representatives from sponsoring businesses, elected officials and other speakers from the Festival.

Use the #TTFstudents hashtag to share your tweets, photos and videos during the Festival for a chance to be reposted by the Tribune to its 120,000 social media followers.
