Getting There

Parking in downtown Austin is limited, and we strongly suggest using alternate transportation on Thursday and Friday as the Festival has no dedicated parking for attendees on those days. Check out this comprehensive list of transportation options from our friends at the Downtown Austin Alliance.

Where did #TribFest19 take place?

The 2019 Texas Tribune Festival included the following venues in the historic Congress Avenue area of downtown Austin:

What should I wear?

We recommend comfortable clothing and shoes. For attendees that intend to network professionally, business casual is appropriate. It tends to be hot in September so a light layer for cool venues is advisable.

What happens if there is bad weather?

Most venues for the event are indoors, and rain plans will be enabled for outdoor activities, but expect the event to proceed rain or shine.

In the event of thunderstorms on Saturday, Open Congress would have to evacuate while the storms pass. Register so we can email you updates or follow us on social media for updates (Facebook, Twitter).

What does the Festival benefit?

Ticket and pass sales, sponsorship and membership donations support The Texas Tribune, a nonpartisan, nonprofit media organization that informs Texans — and engages with them — about public policy, politics, government and statewide issues. Learn more at texastribune.org/about.
