Allen West

West was elected chair of the Texas Republican party in July. Previously, he represented Florida's 22nd Congressional District in the U.S. House from 2011 to 2013. A retired lieutenant colonel, West served in the U.S. military for 21 years, where he served in Kuwait and Iraq. He is the author of “Guardian of the Republic,” published in 2014, and a contributor to Fox News.
