Patrick Svitek

Svitek covers politics for the Tribune and previously served as editor of The Blast, the Tribune's subscription-only daily newsletter for political insiders. He is the Tribune's primary correspondent on the campaign trail, covering the 2016, 2018 and 2020 elections. Prior to joining the Tribune, Svitek worked for the Houston Chronicle’s Austin bureau and interned at The Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post, Huffington Post Politics and the Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
