Arne Duncan

Duncan served as U.S. secretary of education from 2009 to 2015 under former President Barack Obama. Previously, he served as CEO of Chicago public schools and ran the Ariel Education Initiative, a nonprofit that works to create educational opportunities in economically disadvantaged areas. Duncan currently serves as managing director at Chicago CRED, a nonprofit dedicated to stopping gun violence in Chicago.
