Art Acevedo

Acevedo has served as the chief of police for the Houston Police Department since 2016. He leads a department of 5,300 sworn law enforcement officers and 892 civilian support personnel in the fourth largest city in the U.S. Previously, Acevedo was named chief of the California Highway Patrol and served nine years as the chief of police for the Austin Police Department.
