Wright is an author, screenwriter and playwright who joined The New Yorker in 1992. He is the author of “The End of October,” published in 2020, a fictional novel about a pandemic and its effect on the world. Wright is also the author of “Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief” and co-produced HBO’s Emmy award-winning documentary adaptation. Previously, Wright worked at Texas Monthly and was a contributing editor to Rolling Stone.
